Hey 250+ friends, it’s Hannah here!
I am attempting to send out a newsletter more frequently… life is incredibly busy, but I will make time for this I promise.
Our potential is defined by our ability to understand our limits
To me, this idea of knowing our limits means recognising that there are infinite possibilities for us, but realising that we can’t do it all.
Approached through the lens of gratitude, we are privileged to be here, living one human life, and this finitude is what gives our time its value.
Our influence can be powerful. There is so much we can do, but to succeed at anything, we must commit to something and go all in.
"You can do anything – but not everything" - David Allen.
If we know the level of resources at our fingertips, we can allocate our time and energy effectively, and act in line with our goals.
Because without careful thought or discipline, we risk being pulled in multiple directions.
We risk not achieving the things we want to achieve. This should scare us.
Getting to know our capacity is then about regret minimisation.
We can feel empowered with our decision-making, designing a life with our human limitations in mind.
A limitation is only a limitation if we see it as limiting.
If we focus on the edge of our limits and all that we can’t do, then we will feel limited.
But if we focus on all that we can do, which is everything within our human capacity, we may surprise ourselves with all that is possible with deliberate focus.
We can also get to a place where we outsource and bring other people on board with our mission to help us make a difference!
One lifetime is more than enough to make an impact. Do you agree? What are you doing with yours?
Straight from my camera roll
I have just spent the week exploring some historical sites in Italy with my mum and sister and, lo and behold, I am now trying to dodge covid from the pair of them.
It was interesting to see how life was once lived over in Pompeii and crazy to see Mount Vesuvius still steaming from its last eruption!
Also, shoutout to my jumper for making me happy…
The phrase ‘Make good things happen’ speaks to me. It carries meaning!
It is almost as if I bought it to symbolise what I wish to do with Quoted Visually, and every time I get to wear it, I am reminded of this empowering feeling.
Have you bought any clothes for this reason too? I’d love to see you in yours!
Anyways, that’s a wrap. Hope you have a lovely week ahead!
All the love, Hannah aka Quoted Visually x

Hi Hannah, I love your voice over. I can very much relate to your struggle balancing short v long term priorities. That’s partly why my last blog post was about how to prioritise tasks. It’s really easy to keep busy on things that don’t have long term benefits. Looking forward to your next post. Enjoy the warmer weather. Phil…
